The senior consultant of the Directorate of the 2nd European Games Laszlo Vajda arrived in Minsk for a working meeting

The senior consultant of the Directorate of the 2nd European Games Laszlo Vajda arrived for a working meeting to Minsk. He is an expert with extensive experience in holding major sporting events. Mr. Vajda began his career of sports professional with the position of the Director of international affairs in Hungarian Olympic Committee. Then he was working in the Organizing Committee of the Olympics in Sydney and Athens. He also was the external expert of the organizing committee of the 2008 Olympics in Beijing, served as the senior advisor of the organizing committees of the candidate cities to host the Olympic Games Pyeongchang-2018, Madrid-2020, and Beijing-2022.
During the visit, Laszlo Vajda will hold individual meetings with employees and heads of the functional departments of the Directorate, discuss a number of problematic issues, offer solutions and give detailed advice on further actions in delivering the Games.
Today, Mr. Vajda held a joint meeting with representatives of the Directorate. Individual meetings on the organization sports venues, marketing, communications, transport, EOC relationship, and finance are also on the agenda. Late this day Laszlo Vajda will also discuss key points in the operational plan with George Katulin CEO of the of the 2nd European Games 2019.
Customs regulation, volunteering, medicine, anti-doping control, catering, logistics, protocol, security, and accreditation – also will not be left without attention and recommendations from the senior consultant.
The visit of Laszlo Vajda will end on February 20 with a discussion of important moments in the issues of opening and closing ceremonies, medal ceremonies and accommodation for participants and guests of the competitions.
