The town of Ivye is a truly one-of-a-kind place. It perfectly illustrates how different religions exists side by side in this land. It is no accident that there is a monument to the four confessions in the town's main square.
You will find here a Roman Catholic church and a Russian Orthodox church as well as former synagogue buildings. Yet Ivye is most famous for its mosque, the oldest functioning one in Belarus. There is a large percentage of Tatar population here, and they carefully preserve their ancestors' traditions.
