The National Academic Yanka Kupala Theatre is the country’s oldest theatre founded in 1920. In 1917, Paulinka, a play by Yanka Kupala, premiered on its stage. It is now the signature play of the theatre. All plays are in Belarusian, but simultaneous interpretation into Russian and English is available (look for special signs on the poster). The company has performed all over the world. Spectators have seen them take to the stage in London, Paris, Tbilisi, Chisinau and Beijing.
