Minsk will accommodate all official participants of the 2nd European Games 2019. Hotel and students’ villiage capacity consists of about 6200 rooms, whereas the needed number is 4500. At the same time during the European Games in Baku, the minimum number of rooms required for accommodation of official EuroGames participants was 6,000, without taking into account placing of athletes. During the 2nd European Games in Minsk athletes will also live on the territory of the student’s village. For comparison, according to the Minsk City Executive Committee data on the management of household and hotel services, at the World Hockey Championship 2014 in Minsk the average load of hotels in May was 82.1%.

Five new hotels will be opened specially for the 2nd European Games 2019. Three of them will start their work at the beginning of next year: a three-star hotel with 200 rooms on Zybitskaya str., a three-star hotel with 190 rooms in a multifunctional complex on Oktabrskaya str. and another three-star hotel with 250 rooms at the intersection of Pobediteley Avenue and MKAD. If necessary, Games Guests will be accommodated in the Minsk region.

It is planned that in the near future the Foundation “Directorate of the 2nd European Games 2019” will create a special Internet platform, which is used at all major international multi-sport competitions. Electronic service will link all the processes of preparation and carrying the European Games and will also organize and monitor the placement of client groups. These include representatives of the European Olympic committees, dignitaries, technical officials, technical delegates, international media, partners and sponsors of the competitions. Thus, together with the accreditation process, guests of the European Games will be able to solve the accommodation issue.

“Such a large-scale event as the European Games is a kind of exam for the entire hotel business in Belarus. In order to prepare well for the European Games 2019 our hotels are now making every effort, so that in the month of apogee (June 2019) make the guests of the Games feel as comfortable as possible. It plays an important role for the particular hotel reputation, and for the image of our country as a whole. However, the legacy is of the main importance. First and foremost, it is professional personnel growth, experience of maximum occupancy over a long period of time, as well as improving the level and quality of provided services in the future”, – told the Director of Accommodation of the Foundation “Directorate of the 2nd European Games” Vitali Ablam.

The first operator of electronic games in the Republic of Belarus has become the first official partner of the Foundation “Directorate of the 2nd European Games 2019”.

The signing ceremony of cooperation agreement between “Sport-pari” and the Foundation “Directiorate of the 2nd European Games 2019” was held on December 15, 2017 at the National Olympic Committee of the Republic of Belarus. In accordance with the terms of the agreement, “Sport-pari” has a status of the partner of the Directorate of Eurogames.

The document defines cooperation of organizations aimed at promoting and popularizing the upcoming European Games 2019 in Minsk, including creation of special products dedicated to this event by SJSC “Sport-pari”.

In the course of the ceremony, the presentation of the official sponsor certificate of the NOC of Belarus took place. Earlier this week, was signed an agreement of sponsorship assistance between the NOC of Belarus and the operator of electronic interactive games. In the next two years, the CJSC “Sport-pari” will allocate funds to the NOC of Belarus to support and develop the Olympic movement in the Republic of Belarus.

The qualitative and professional competitive bradcasting program of the 2nd European Games 2019, as well as the transmission of the television signal to the audience of the whole world, is one of the most important issues in organizing a multi-sport event.
Three international companies expressed their interest in organizing the broadcast of the 2nd European Games: the Portuguese “Medialuso-Mediapro”, the Spanish ISB and the Russian “Match TV”. Representatives of the Foundation “Directorate of the 2nd European Games 2019”, the National Olympic Committee, Belteleradiocompany, as well as interested ministries and departments, intently examined the proposals of all applicants and determined some key factors in choosing their preferences. The main one is price. Also during the discussion, special attention was paid to the experience of multi-sport events broadcasting, the image of companies and their marketing appeal, the possibility of further implementation of media rights, financial guarantees. One of the crucial issues for the Organizing committee was also the issue of legacy. Belarusian specialists should be involved in such an event to the maximum in order to gain invaluable experience in participating in the 2nd European Games. All three companies are ready to assist the Belarusian side in this matter.
As a result of the meeting, the interdepartmental commission prepared a corresponding report provision to the Republican Organizing Committee, which will finally determine a company for the organization of the broadcasting of the 2nd European Games 2019.
