The 46 General Assembly of the European Olympic Committees completed its work in Zagreb

The 46 General Assembly of the European Olympic Committees completed its work in Zagreb. The Belarusian delegation led by the Director of the Foundation “Directorate of the 2nd European Games 2019” Georgy Katulin spoke about the progress of our country’s preparations for a major large-scale event. The reaction of the representatives of the European Olympic committees after the presentation gives clear reasons to believe that the EOC gave a good assessment of Belarus’ readiness for the 2nd European Games. The main issue of the assembly in Croatia was the election of the president of the organization. The acting president of the Slovenian Janez Kocijancic was unanimously elected. A lawyer by training, he headed the National Olympic Committee of Slovenia from 1991 to 2014, and since 1981 was a member of the board of the international federation of skiing. Kochianchich is a member of the Executive Council of the Ski Federation of Slovenia, and since 2013 – Vice President of the Executive Committee of the EOC
